Bought MPC 1k. Pads out of order.

I just bought a MPC 1k.

Everything seems fine, except a little (big) problem.

When i wanna load a drum sample i go

Mode/Pad2 > I choose my sound and when if I hit the drum pads while beeing in the load menu i get a sound > i assign the sound to Pad A01 > Main > When i press the pad now, no sound is appearing.


-Im currently running JJ OS 3.0.8.

Is this problem OS bug related or is there something wrong with my mpc?

Ok, some questions in order of popularity:

Is Full Level turned on / do you press the pad hard enough?
What about the other pads, do they behave the same?
What happens if you press a pad in Trim mode?
Finally (don't laugh), do you have your Stereo Outs or Headphone Outs connected to something? The MPC does not have speakers.

Anyway, from you description it sounds like your pads are actually working, so I guess it's just user error somewhere.

well you say you get a sound when you're in the LOAD menu so Im assuming your audio setup is ok.

Yes, Id say make sure the Full Level feature is enabled - sometimes you really have to whack those pads to get a sounds (especially if they are brand new).

Might actually be a problem with a single pad - try assigning the sample to another pad.
