what NEXT?

i just bought my MPC1000 and have my mixer and turntable......what should i get next?
or am i set?
and also is an 80GB harddrive REALLY needed?

Since ur a starter I won't c a harddisk as a top priority, eventhough it's really useful.
I would go for a nice amplifier and monitor set first. Maybe something to record with? Multitrack recorder/ pc with interface.

yeah i have an M-box with pro-tools and logic 8.
but a set of monitors is really needed. any you would suggest?

Get those monitors and buy a mid-priced hd. 40gb is probably enough. If u have a pc/ mac in ur set up u can transport data thru usb back and forth from mpc to pc. (and maybe u don't need an hd after all)

i would buy them purely just for the yellow cone.
nah im not running JJOS yet, i havent sussed the set-up or anything.
where do i download it and how to i actually get the OS onto the MPC?(sorry is a dumb question but im not sure)

Check this website where u can find all the info u need. Maybe u can stick with the free version first. Looks a lot like the akai os, with u few improved and extra features u're definitely going to like. U can also check out the JJOS forums

Expand the ram.... vinyl (sorry if you have).. Get monitors first, krks are good
