I have mpc 5000. However, I cannot find out how to connect my Kork Triton to it, to play its internal sound and keys on to the mpc 5000. For exmple, MIDI. I am a begginer in this is all very intersting stuff. How do i create MIDI conection between the two. Also, I have turned local control off.

midi in > midi out and vise versa. get the proper midi cables and make the connections. I havent used a triton in a while but i believe there should be a sequencing mode which will correspond to the midi channels w/ the mpc. select the correct midi channels and you should be good to go. Also check out tweakheadz.com best site for begginers period.

Im pretty sure I have the MIDI thing in hand. Afterall its just cables.
NOW... does anybody know how to play the Triton (keys and its sounds) upon the MPC.. in real time?
Or should i just dump all of it into a sequencer? if so, whats good... i have the ableton.

get mad and read your manuels step by step.when I learned this ish there was no help me forums! I bought it and I took time to learn it.trust me once you learn it that 1 time you'll know it for ever and you'll unerstand why people are not quick to babysit you on working your gear.if other people have what you got and are working it,that means,it can be done.I know some manuels are written crazy, but if that was all you had what would you do?

Rookie has a point. Don't worry about what's going on on these forums. Nobody's in competition for a grammy here (at least not at the moment), so you should be looking in those manuals regardless of how long it takes you to learn it.

Reading and educating yourself will payoff in the long run. Or you can go about it the quick way and have you stuff sounding like it too.

Wow. Triton and 5k to start? You've got some reading to do. Just take it slow. You probably don't understand how lucky you actually have it. When I started doing this in 1996 I was only 15 or 16 and I had a Roland XP-50 and the manual was written in a bad Japanese to "Engrish" translation. It was like deciphering the goddamn Rosetta Stone and web forums for newbs weren't even around.

The concepts if basic MIDI are simple once you understand what's going on. Read page 170 of your MPC5000 manual.

Also have a look at these youtube vids. They're cheesy as hell and dated, but you'll learn a few things and probably have a good laugh:

PROGRAM mode on triton, midi to mpc. Choose mpc midi track and corretc midi # of triton program.
Triton ext sync (slave). MPC Master sync. This willmake triton slave, mpc master and you can use the triton as a sound module. Play the triton keys while recording the midi performance on mpc midi tracks. Get into your manuals more.

I´m trying to slave the triton le sequencer to my mpc, I can play the triton sound by the mpc pad, but I´m trying to synch the sequencer, and I can´t find a option on the triton LE like that to make it ext synch... I have browsed the manual and shit, have browsed the menus and can´t find it.

I used this method on a triton classic and now I have a triton extreme. I don't know the le menus, that's for you to figure out how to manage doing EXT SYNC/TIMING whatever it's called on the le. Would you like for me to find it in the manual for you? If the le has midi in's and outs on back, I'm betting that it's in the manual.

It's there, you're just overlooking it. Try going global > menu > midi and then open whatever page there is. There should be the midi clock option to set for internal or external.
