Question on MPC sequencing and external synths/samplers

With this good feedback in mind, i've been researching some other options on the net. For a pure hardware sequencer, with great composition features and user interface, it looks like the Yamaha devices like the rm1x and qy* sequencers might be the winner. Actually, if i want to spend the extra $, then the combination of an mpc for sample-related performance and a qy* for sequencing looks like it would provide hours and hours of fun.

Not to take this forum too far off topic, but... does anyone have any experience with those yamaha sequencers (or any others) and why they might choose one over the other?

Mark my man, make a wise decision and get something that you won't regret purchasing later on down the line. I noticed the best ppqn resolution from those Yamaha's (which I have big respect for) is 480. I'd go for something that offers more in one unit than you'd get putting together several unit's. It's always tough making the right decisions when you're new to this game.

Just thought I'd throw that at you.
