Oh and yes you can use computer speakers, but not just plugging them into the MPC... You will need adapters in orderto plug them into the MPC.... A quik way to do so is to use an adapter to plug the PC sound system into the MPC's headphone jack and go that route until you figure it all out...

Also you can check out www.Tweakheadz.com for a vast amount of info regarding home studio setups and also what options you have when trying to connect different components.

Pound was not being snobby with his answer... It was your reply to hip post that sparked the hate.... You are new around here, we owe you nothing.

and dude i appreciate everything you have helped me with believe me. and please don't think i haven't read the manual or any of the tutorials. to be completely honest, on page 98 of the users manual, it does NOT say whether or not hooking your mpc up to your computer will allow you to use it's speakers as your sound source. i'm not trying to argue with you, but i just figured that's what this site was for...to save time when you're stuck? i figured that's why we have experts like you, who DO know these things. so i appologize for my comments if they came off wrong, and i still appreciate everyones help..thanks.

You will learn that some creativity and enginuity is involved in connecting everything. Also in making things work with what you have.. Check out that TweakHeadz site I posted. It has a lot of info on the basics of home studios. I learned alot there.

For your direct CPU speaker question... It can be done, but you will need some cables and adapters to make it work. I currently use my PC sound system as my sound output. It worx and it was here so I had to make use of it in order to listen to my MPC creations. There are quite a few combinations you can try. I mentioned using the headphone jack of your MPC... All you will need is a 3.5mm to 1/4 adapter to make this connection.

You can also get a 1/8 to RCA adapter cable and add 1/4 adaptoers to the RCA ends and plug those in to the back of the MPC....

At this point I think the 1/8 to 1/4 adapter plugged into the headphone slot on the MPC will get you going.

In this section, I created a thread with pics of all the adapters I have come across... I found that this info is most useful to noobs... I'll find the link for you and post it here in a few.

i use to use a maudio delta 44 with win xp to record into the mpc 1000. i used 2 of the delta 44 outs into the mpc record ins and the master outs from mpc into the delta 44 ins so i could record from mpc to pc and visa versa. but since i upgraded to win 7 64 bit the the maudio drivers are still at a beta version and i get rice crispies when recording into the pc. so i am looking to upgrade to a firewire audio interface. i am sick of waiting on maudio to update their 64 bit drivers for win7
