Eq your sounds before you sample them as a matter of fact there was an article with Pete Rock in Remix magazine and he says that he eqs his drums before sampling them. And of course as someone posted before, most of these producers have expensive processors to tweak the mess out of their sounds. but for the rest of us Eq your drums before sampling them.

YO this was a difficult poll... but I never thought i ever choose Trackmasters over real hip hop producers..LOL (stab)

I must be white... the only name I recognize on that list is Dr. Dre, and only because of NWA and Eminem. If you ask me about Ill Drums, I use names like Bill Bruford, Matt Cameron, Chester Thompson, Tim "Herb" Alexander, and Neil Peart..
