Someone let's check the specs of the different models. Cause, check it, even if it's a mono jack, it can still be balanced. I found out that rolands outputs sounded like crap cus they are balanced monos, and thus should take balanced cables. But, the MPCs I dunno. They seem to never print highly technical ish on the box or specs on brochures from akai.
But yeah, these guys or right; the balanced cable (Tip,Ring,Sleeve)
Known as TRS heads, appear as TWO rings, and can accomodate a stereo signal as well as a ground at the same time. Helps elimnate hum with the ground channel. Also, they are typically made with professional grade parts, and cost almost twice as much, but it's like anything that has a trusted benchmark: you get what you pay for. If you go from molded plastic HOSA unbalanced 1/4" cable to High grade, removeable head TRS,
I guarantee your sound will be hotter and cleaner. Unless, like they said, it's a mono jack. In that case, a better grade of that type would improve the sound, but TRS is unecessary.
