im kinda late, but i got one because i didnt feel like a real musician with software. i like having to grab off of vinyl, and i like (yes, i really do) being limited by sample memory, forces you to be more creative and utilize sounds in ways you didnt think of before.

That, and most of my fav producers use them, so i figured it couldnt be all bad 8)
