Big Time Newbie To MPC and MIDI

still nothin man i even reinstalled the cd called beat shop one instalation and still nothing... is it maybe a different cd i have to install? these are the cds i have
-beat shop one instalation-x producer installation-e-mu pci digital audio system-e-mu production tools software-studio grand installation(2discs)e-mu proteus=-X software manual installation
anyways let me know if u think i should install th whole thing again or if thers another way to make this thing work
