Yep. Too many people ask should I do this or do that. Why not try everything you can with what you have to see what you like, no one can tell you what you like, no one can tell you what's better cause we each have our own styles, particulars and techniques. That's why as a producer you might wanna look into being a jack of all trades with the techniques so that at any time you need there is something you've already known or done or tried. For yourself you'll know what will work with what you are trying to do and what won't. That comes with time though, pratice and experiments.
