thanks alot Kalei u was very helpful.......im def gonna get the hd for the 4k 120mg i just wanted another option like say if my 4k crashed or my hd crashed i can have it somewhere else.......and since i can use the cdr drive to burn data and backing up can i then save all my data of a specific beat onto the cd and say go to another 4k put that cd in and load my beat on there? or it does save the seq? just the data like samples basically anything wav?

You can use the software AKSYS to transfer/backup all your songs to the computer via USB. Its in the manual and discussed alot on here. AKSYS is available at akapro.com

bruh no offense but if E52Beats is ya brother why don't you just ask him? Wouldn't it be easier. I suggest you download all the manuals cuz all the answers are in there for the most part..you can save ya shit using the burner in ya mpc, and load it up in another mpc4k easy..if you got the 4k right in front of you hit the save key and scroll the wheel to you find ya storage option bruh..

Between the internal hard drive, your computers hard drive and the CD drive, you've probably got enough backup going on.
