NO SLICE FOR SAMPLES IN MY MPC 1000....Y

I have a MPC 1000 and in the SAMPLE MODE it DOES NOT HAVE SLICE to slice sample up breakin them down on all 16 pads.
how do i get it to help me sample better..

In "Trim Mode" locate the sample you want to chop. Hit Edit and look for the option to slice the sample. Hit slice and use your data wheel to scroll till you get to sliced samples hit convert. Then it will ask you if you want to make a new program out of the new sliced samples " I say no so I can put the samples where I want them.

Ihave been using the JJOS for so long, I forgot that the Akai OS looks totally different. I hope you get through..
