Is a mixer necessary????

I'm in the midst of moving, and wont have the rest of my equipment here in my new location for a while. So i just brought my MPC 1000 with me, and I'm looking to cop a module (probably a Mo'phatt) to have some more versatility. Will a mixer be needed to incorporate audio from Mo'phatt to the MPC 1000? (I had it linked up to my computer before, and used Reason as a module, this time i'm running an all hardware setup for now and am unsure as to if a mixer is needed or not.)

I was interested in getting one of these modules as well... But I do not know much about them... Are they not MIDI equiped?

its probably a good idea to get a mixer. eventually you'll get more gear, or you'll have a friend come over to jam and it'll just simplify things. plus you have more control over each device (seperate volumes, pan, 3 band eq, auxilary in's n out's). you can get a pretty cheap samson. they're pretty sturdy

I assumed he had a mixer already, but it is in the process of moving and he will not have access to it for a while....
