Footswitch Q for midi noob

Hey, thanks in advance for any help.

For those who dont wanna hear the dark and rainy night story... skip to paragraph 2. Ive played in part time bands for a long time. Over the last 2 years had a lot of trouble keeping drummers and bass players ready to go, either too drunk to finish 3rd set or too good and always busy with somebody else. So screw em, i wanna sequence bass and drums, and ive never played in a band that had a set amount of verses, choruses, bridge, etc (thats like karoike); so i wnat to be able to switch between different subsec tions, with a footswitch, because i play guitar and got both hands busy. Need intro, verse, chorus, bridge, extended jam, outro, etc... and some pedals that activated a pre programmed sound would be nice, so some advice on pro footswitches would be greatly apppreciated, too.... anyhoooo.....

Can the "open/close" contact on the footswitch input pass complicated midi data from multiple footswitches (with a footswitch controller) ?

If that's true.... Any recommendations of cost effective peripherals to aacomplish this?

Which MPC? 1000/2500 I guess?

If so, the input cannot recognize anything else than "open/close" as you said. So you can do with that what is available in the Footswitch menu. Not more not less. No MIDI data.

If you want to use MIDI messages, why not buy a MIDI pedalboard and connect it to a MIDI In?

Thanks for the help. Im thinkin bout the 500, would do everything i need. some product i saw was vague in how it works, thought it was saying multiple midi messages through footswitch port. Im fairly electronic literate, and thought it was theoretically possible to send analog messages through "open/close" if it was a microprocessor and could open/close in micro or milli seconds, and receive some sort of morse code type pattern (from this non existant footswitch controller)

I knew i could do it with a midi pedalboard and the roland looks like a Lot for the price, but i already have a guitar pedal board with a exp pedal, with roland it be, who the F this guy think he is? and i probably couldnt use the top buttons, cause im clumsy, especially later in the evenin.

The reason I was looking for an analog solution was seeing products for amplifying and stablizing midi, even things like light shows and sound engineering. I need a least 20 ft (sometimes) to be able to route cables so they dont get stomped on.

thinking that a row of boss FS5U single pedals to a Midi Solutions F8, connected with a bundle of speaker cables, would be a comparatively low cost for reliability and durability, for someone who abstatutely positively dont like things to go wrong onstage, might as well have a human.
