MPC 1000- Faulty or Not?

Ok, iv had my mpc for about a week
i created a program with samples of a song which i first chopped up on the computer.
i then tried to put a drum sample from my memory card, onto the program, and the sample that i chopped up then stopped working on the pads when i pushed them.
is this a fault?

you sure its in there?

unless you probly have the set up to note on, which means you gotta press and hold the pad.

and if you dont know what that means...

read the manual son!! there a reason they made those things man.

you said you "tried", maybe thats where it went wrong.

after you chopped them up did you assign the chops to pads?
