Whats good hip hop junkies,
I'm having some trouble with my MPC 2000XL. I recently purchased the MCD reader cause i cannot stand to even look at a floppy disc after all the trouble they put me through, but that is a whole nother thread in itself. So I went to update the OS to the latest version for the card reader, everything went smooth until i got to the system restart. I restarted it and tried to let the system do its thing, but it doesnt seem to finish loading the .bin file at this point. Every time i turn the mpc on now it says "Insert MPC2000XL Disk !" Maybe i wasnt patient enough for it to load from the floppy disk but i let it run for a good fifteen minutes (ample time to load such a small file). At this time i have the carde reader installed, but i am afraid that im going to have to uninstall it to put the floppy back in and try to load the .bin again, but im worried that it still wont work. Any suggestions or has anyone else noticed a long time for the file to load? thanks,
Above A.V.E.R.A.G.E.

Put the floppy back in, update to 120. Put the mcd back in. There is info on this ALL over the forums, we've been through this many many times.... Please do a search and good luck.

I also have an mcd in my 2kxlse2. Went the exact same route your going through.

this isht still aint working. I left the machine on over night to load the bin file from the floppy, which i had to reinstall. You can hear the drive tick a couple times and then that's it. I dont know what to do.....damn technology.
