A request for help with midi settings

'Sup guys and gals. A desperate plea for help here. Trying to hook up the old 1000 with FL Studio for the first time. I've got midi activity in FL when I hit the MPC's pads but I can't get it to correspond with pads in FPC (FL MPC emulator). Been trying for over a month now. Read the manual, read the 'Beatmaking..' book etc. I finally need to ask for help. Am I missing a setting on the MPC? I've assigned the MPC's midi notes to correspond with FPC's. I can start/stop playback in FL from MPC, but that's all. Can anyone point me toward something I might be missing? Thanks, peace.

in fpc you have to change the pad routing to "--", then you can hit the pad you want assigned and it will automatically link. its in the fl manual. pull up fpc and hit f1.

Cozy thanks man. I've read/re-read the manual, I've got the FL Bible, I've scoured the Beatmaking ebook. These FPC/MPC pads just don't want to talk to each other. I think I'm missing something in the MPC. Any more contributions to the cause? Nicely.
