can't hear nothing

hey, i finally chopped some samples but somehow i can hardly hear them, so why is my mpc so quiet, although my turntables and mixer are pretty loud? what can i do to increase the volume?

what mpc are you using? the 500 has a default level of 80 on all new pad assignments rather than 100.
