Question regarding computer audio to mpc

Hey yall i am new to this area. I have been sampling audio from my stereo cd player and i was wondering how i can get audio from my computer onto my mpc(not via usb). If i had an mbox2 could i record into the mpc inputs? What would i need in order to record a sample live onto the mpc from my laptop?

Much appreciated. I am still unable to find information iif a mbox 2 would be able to work as an interface to the mpc for sampling. If anyone else could help i'd appreciate it.

I'm sorry, you'll need to go from the monitor outs off the mbox going to the mpc's audio inputs most likely.
