sample is silent

hi everybody

i have an mpc 500 and the following problem:

I start my sequence with the drums and snares. After that i record samples/overdub it with my samples.

When i play my sequence after recording, i cant hear the sample the sequence beginns with. The second time (when the sequence repeats) my sequence starts with the sample at the beginning / like i want it to do

Do you now why my sample at the beginning of the sequence doesnt play at the first time i play the sequence / starts late with the second time the sequence plays? Can I change that somewhere in the settings?

I know this sounds wierd but hope you understand what i mean and can help, sorry for maybe bad english, its not my mother tongue

make sure that the sample isnt at the end of the sequence. Meaning if quantize if off you may only hear it because it is played right before the last bar ends.

yes this must be the reason, i thaught it as well. But can it be that difficult to place the sample on the first tick and not at the end of the sequence? --> i always try realy hard to avoid that
