Hello sorry for my bad english but im going to buy a mpc 1000 from some dude but i now shit about mpcs so how do i know if everythings work if i test it . How i can test it??? Please help

when you turn it on it should say "128 mb RAM" or something along those lines
or you can just open it up and see the chip.

i dont think theres anyway to know if it has the pad upgrade besides actually opening it up.

when testing look out for:
-pad response
-all the outs give sound
-the in's are able to receive sound
-usb is functional
-midi ports functional
-sliders function (mine didn't, easy fix)
-buttons function
-and just be on the look out for any cosmetic damage (could save you some money)
-and many other things i can't remember at the moment

just play around with the thing really.

I think you can check for the pad upgrade by nudging one to see if any next to it move as well you'll know they are all connected and should be fine.

Make sure you get the latest OS which is the OS 2500. That will make sure everything runs just like the other MPC's and also will enable you to use the midi headphone function.
