mpc Noob

Hello do you need a turntable to sample songs??? And a mixer?? Or can you download the samples from your pc and put it on the memory card?? and can you put every kind of brand memory card in it or only from akai???

You'll have to inquire about this from your owners manual. Make the manual your first stop for "how to" information.

The only problem with this question is...you're the one that knows what your intentions are for composing music. Do you want to get something you can grow into, or are you looking for something to cure your ills now? You see, we don't know what it is that you have in mind for your studio so that's why I'm asking these questions.

Do you want something small like an 8 channel or less, or do you want something that'll accomodate what you have now and you can continue to grow into it...like a 16+ channel mixer?

I dont have a studio and i wanto make beats like kanye jay d and madlib lol soulfull hip hop beats but i now nothing about mpc and i cant find sites about mpcs in my langauges and i dont know what a mixer is and for what i need it

As far as if you need a mixwe--well that's gonna depend on what other gear you're gonna run besides the MPC. Personally, I don't have very much equipment at all (mpc, a synth keyboard, a presets keyboard, and a turntable) but I've got 3 different mixers (a DJ mixer for the turntable, an analog mixer to get the keys and table sounds into the MPC, and an audio interface/mixer hybrid that my MPC feeds into so I can record on my Mac).

The MPC is a sampler tho, so it can pretty much grab sounds out of anything you wanna feed it. That could be from a turntable, or a CD player, or a cassette deck, or iPod, or DVD player, or VHS...just about anything with audio out jacks. And of course, sounds off the computer via CF card.
