Novation, Etc Etc..

Im using the 500, and wanting more out of the sounds and drums i already have, i came across this in the video http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=ho_7z9UX1oQ at 2:25, havoc talking about "novation", not explaining anything except for "who f--ks with it"...

basically it sounded like thats something id benefit from, could someone perhaps tell me more about that machine/what it does, and costs if possible?, props.

Not really ideal for drums unless you want synthesised sounds. This synth is for bass, lead, synth sounds.

I have a Novation Remote SL61. It is my first midikeyboard so not much of a pro but i tell u what i know. (Was stupid enough to buy a expensive one but it was worth it)
Basically its like any midi keyboard, it has midi in, out and through.
It doesnt need to have power from a Adapter, so u can plug it in to a usb. The Keyboard has alot of templates for softwares.
So for example if u use reason it automatically switches to the reason template so u can steer the knobs and stuff from your keyboard. Also i was able to record in reason through only usb, so i guess the usb transfers midi?..
Also in the screen u can configure how your midi is gonna work( if u know alot ) forexample:

KeybPort: M1 (which sends to MPC via midi cable)
ComnPort: U2 (which sends to Reason via USB) (copied from elliz)
So u basically have to tell the keyboard how u want it to work, so u need to know alot about midi and how it works.

It also has a Automap feature so if u use something like cubase, the keyboard will automaticaly automap to cubase so u can press record,play,stop or whatever on the keyboard.

If u know how to use it u can do alot of things by configuring it.

The keyboard comes with Pitch and mod like most midikeyboards and synths have but it doesnt come with wheel, it comes as a ball(as i would call it) u can steer it as a Y and A axis. Pitch to the left and right and mod up or down. This way IMO it is easier to tweak the sound. Also it comes with somekind of chaos pad wich i havent tried out. I think u need a program to use it.

The keyboard is very expensiv IMO it cost like over 5000 krones.. that would be 724,64 USD and 507,25 GBP
Id say it worth buying it if u have alot of money. The keyboard looks alittle old but who cares about looks...

yea it's the supernova, cool synth... virtual analog, it comes as a keyboard too..

alright cool, i think that long answer was about that link, but as the keyboard version which is what he had, maybe.. but thanks for the help, im just trying to make my drums that i have already on a card sound better, without too much of an effect kinda thing, peace!
