NEWBIE NEEDS MPC 2500 HELP

Hi sorry if this is posted on here somewhere but I cant find the answer and Akai's manual is driving me nuts.
How do i start without the samples loading up into memory?
I just want a blank machine.
I only have 16 meg of memory.
Basically what I am trying to do is sample of a record and get the chops onto the pads as quick as possible.

Turn off autoload.

look up " Autoload".

Its in the refrence portion of the manual if your need help finding it.
