bfd samples in a mpc

i have the sample library from bfd i bought and own bfd legaly i just dont use it. i was thinking about getting a mpc 1000 for the portability. could i load the bfd one shot samples into the mpc or is the sample resolution to high for the mpc. the single hit samples are 1.5 mb. so they are pretty large. thanks for the info

you could load them in, if the sample rate and bit depth are too high, you could convert them to 16 bit 44.1k and it would work fine, but you probably wont be able to load all the multisample hits that are stored in bfd, because if it is anything like battery 3, there are alot of the acoustic kits and such that are multi-sampled around 8 times for one snare and so on. your mpc will only support 4 velocity layers, but in theroy it could be done, it would be like holding the "full level" button or its equivielent down on your bfd plug in.

on the other hand, alot of the electronic kits in battery are only one sample per "pad" or cell, so if that velocity thing doesnt really bother you, go ahead!
