apogee duet with a motu fastlane? quick question

i guess this i kind of a basic question, but i dont know the answer to it, i was looking at getting an apogee duet maybe in the future and it doesnt have midi in and out ports, so i was thinking could i get this and get a motu fast lane or something similar for the midi compatatbility in ma home setup?


ive never used an audio interface that doesnt have midi in it.
