are you dead set on a 2000xl?

why not get something a bit newer like a 1000 or a 2500?
I mean for what your paying for the 2000xl. you can get a 1000 for sure..
for a little more a 2500.

I just bought a 2500 a few weeks ago for 7 bills and it came with the cd-m25 in it already. I popped in ram for 9 bucks and a hard drive for 30 and im good.

But seriously, if you're new to using the MPC, you should probably check out the MPC 1000... longer sample time, USB connectivity, and the JJOS is much more n00b friendly.
