What good all?

I've obviously done the right thing and searched through all of the threads on here and futureproducers to find an answer to my problem. No luck!!!

basically i want to use reason as a sound module... ( or even record reasons sounds into the mpc )

I have an mpc 2.5k.

anyways at the moment my connections are set up like this

mpc midi out -----> audio interface midi in

oxygen25 keyboard midi out -------> mpc midi in

stereo out on the mpc --------> L/R output on the audio interface (edirol UA4fx)

the sound is then being played out throug the headphone jack on the interface... I haven't hooked up any monitors yet.

when i set everything up in reason and the mpc, I can play reasons sounds on the pads, but when i want to play sounds of the hard drive they sound all messed up... all muddy and distorted. the

the metronome doesnt play out the speakers either only out the headphone jack on the MPC

Any help peoples.

Cheers!

A lot of what you've posted doesn't make sense.

1. Futureproducers
2. "stereo out on the mpc --------> L/R output on the audio interface"
3. "I can play reasons sounds on the pads, but when i want to play sounds of the hard drive they sound all messed up.."

In future it may help if you provide more information as we will be unaware of the all important settings that you have made in Reason and on the MPC.

Having your gear set up properly is the first step to achieving an efficient workflow.

If you can manage to troubleshoot your settings correctly, the problems you describe will be solved.

1. future producers is a web forum catering towards hip-hop and electronic music production

2. the stereo out from the MPC are going into the left and right output of my INTERFACE

3. at the moment when I hit a pad on the mpc it triggers the sounds from reason (THOR)
but when i go to play the drum sounds/samples on the hard drive they sound all distorted and muddy... i can hear all sorts of hiss and crackles and pops.
