hi guys i want to buy a MPC, ive seen this 1 on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Akai-MPC-2000-Mid ... 286.c0.m14

just a few questions, im new to this type of hardware, i usually cut up samples in wavelab on my pc and then use them on logic, so in terms of music hardware im a novice, is the mpc 2000 a good mpc to start with or should i go with the mpc 500? also the item on ebay states "INSERT MPC 2000 DISC" on the lcd, is this easy to get hold of?

Check the comparison forum for views on the various MPC models.

In my opinion the 1000 and 500 would be a far better choice for a newcomer.

The principle mode of operation is similar on all MPC's but other factors such as portability, upgradeability, connectivity and transferabilty all have a part to play in your decision.
