Hey everyone, i got my first mpc500, leavin fl studio, big change for me and im currently in a learning process more than a production process but now i want some real prograde drum samples, and some up to date stuff. like 808 drums, claps, snares, hi hats etc. i know about mpc samples and loopmasters, but i wouldnt mind like a list of places i can look and choose the drum packages i like best. and i noticed loopmaster has alot of loops and grooves, i hate working with loops, i rather build all my rhythms from scratch, u got any sites in mind? i would appreciate it alot because im anxious at gettin some good drums and makin some fire with my korg triton

Go check out your local record store and spend hundreds of hours digging through the crates. Find places in music you like where the drums play by themselves. Start by checking funk/r&b from the mid 60s to 70s if you want to find classic hip hop drum breaks. Otherwise you gotta buy some sample pack with a bunch of drum sounds. One way is a lot cooler than the other.
