Hi guys, I just bought a Korg TR76, I was wondering if anyone is using this in combination with their MPC. supposedly, I should be able to send midi signals back and forth between the two (so I was told), but still haven't figured out how...

I'm new to the world of synthesizers etc. so it will take me a while to figure it all out before I can actually produce something... :)

anyhow, if anyone is working with a korg together with mpc..let me know :) maybe you know a bit about the setup..tnx

Regardless of your tools the question remains as basic as they get, something we get asked many times.

Im moving this to the 'Getting Started' forum where you will find advice on making the basic MIDI connections.

2 x midi cables.
keyboard midi out to mpc midi in
mpc midi out to keyboard midi in
turn midi on in the mpc.

1 x ts to ts audio cable.
keyboard audio out to mpc record in.
on the mpc turn 'thru' on. (now the sounds from the keyboard play through the mpc).

Keep in mind that the 500 doesn't offer AUDIO THRU. You need to run the keyboard into a mixer (along with 500) to hear what the keyboard is doing while you sequence it.
