when i try to save anything on my mpc it requires some sort of password. I bought the mpc used and i've read the manuals, but i can't find anything. what can i do?

Which MPC do you have? I have the MPC 500 and you can reset to factory settings then go and put your own adjustments back in.

what OS are you using? perhaps that's where your issue is. JJOS?

I would imagine you are on a JJOS that needs a serial. Put either the AKAI OS or free JJOS on if you can
