s3000xl basic question

Hello,i'm new here ,my mpc2000xl broke down and i bought a S3000xl,
I'm using it to chop samples put them in keygroups send them to my midi keyboard en then send them to my atari with qbase to sequence...

but it seems inpossible to make a good range of keygroups ,they always get pitched and so on...

people told me i need to get a diskette with a pre-installed program with keygroups...

sorry if my question sounds stupit ,im just a beginner and i searched in the search tab but i cant realy find what i'm looking for

if somone can help me id be realy happy and thankfull

You need to make one urself. First keygroup will start at 35(B0) or 36(c1), depending on ur keyboard. This midinote u'll set as the lowkey in ur first keygroup. Highkey will be the same midinote of that keygroup. Next keygroup will be (when u started with 36(c1)) 37(c1#), next keygroup that follows will have midinote 38(d1) and so on. Hope u'll get it.

It's been a while since I used mine but I think u also have to switch the constant pitch option to on. Sample all the samples at the same pitch to avoid pitch changes.
