Hello, new to the forum- not to production. Ive worked with software (reason, acid pro, ableton, cakewalk, sonar....) for years. I recently have acquired a mpc1000 and am loving it, but everytime i record a drum track quantized it comes out sounding like a 2yr old banging on pots and pans. When i take quantize off and record everything is pretty much right on.... Am i doing something wrong with quantize? Any input would be appreciated.... I also am not sure what operating system im working with, im about to install jjos.... Will that help my situation? Thanks in advance.....

Ive tried it at 8ths16ths 32nds.... Still not as accurate as i would've assumed... What would you say would be a good percentage for the swing to be at? And a couple other questions how would i switch between sequences live and would i remove a sample from a pad?.... Thanks for the help....

you running JJOS?
this might help with getting a good quantise setting. in the TC window, turn the q-link slider on for quanitise, then hit play and adjust the slider till it sounds good.
