using my mpc to trigger bfd2 on a midi track in logic 8

i am having no success.

i really need someone to help me step by step with the connections, settings in both the mpc and logic to make this happen.

i know this is easier than it seems to be right now.

presently, i have a ux 10 midi to usb interface running from the in and out midi in the rear of the mpc to the usb in on my macbook pro.

i have the type field in the mpc set to midi, the midi channel set to 1A, an instrument track opened in logic and still nothing.

no signal at all shows up.

please help.

thanks but i really just want to be able to trigger software on a gm or instrument channel strip via the mpc sending midi to a logic track.

its that simple and yet i cannot get it to work.

It sounds stupid but do you have the track set to send midi? Which MPC are you using?

yes. the midi is on 1a and the type field i have tried both MIDI and DRUM both.

the pgm field i have also tried a program and off as is suggested.

i am stumped!!

gonna hook up with a phone call today. maybe one of my boys can help give me some clarity.

i even tried routing through my oxy 8.

no go.
