MPC 1000 Beginner.

Hi everybody,

I just got my MPC 1000 today. I directly started to read the manuel but there are still 2 problems:

1. Is there a way to connect the MPC with my turntable without a Mixer? If so witch cable do i need?

2. How can I connect the MPC with my speakers (without a mixer -->manuel)? ( 2 big speakers hooked up with the amp and the turntable / the logitech speakers of my pc)

Does your turntable have an internal preamp? If not you will need to run it through a DJ mixer or a phono preamp...

I have a Technics 1210 MK2 turntable - there is no preamp. If I got a phono preamp i would connect the turntable with the MPC. Are my HiFi- Speakers then automatically connected with the MPC? thanks so far

your "Hi-Fi" speakers, are they powered? If so they can go directly to the MPC. If they are not powered then you will need powered monitors. Depends on the model of the speaker.

No these speakers aren´t powered. I have some powered speakers on my laptop but they haven´t the right port for the MPC. The cheapest way would be a headphone right?

Im going to be blatantly honest with you. The BEST thing for you to do is to get familiar with the terminology and equipment first because you clearly dont know a lot about this. Its not a bad thing, we were all there at one point. But knowing the terms will help you search for what you need

The powered speakers will fit the MPC's headphone out if need be. But its not a port, its a jack. The speakers have an 1/8" end on it and the MPC's headphone jack is 1/4". You can pick up an adaptor that will make it work. True its not the best way to go about it but it will get you some sounds right away for cheap. Below is an image of what you need. I also recommend checking out tweakheadsz (google it) for the basic info to get you up to speed with the terms. Hope that helps
