Using Logic 8 as a sound module and making mpc1k master...

good evening all. i have recently downloaded the 3.08 of jj os to my mpc due to the fact that the 2.12 version would stall after i ejected the icon from my mac and wouldnt let me go back to the main screen. But enough of that. I wanna know how to make the mpc master to logic8...i know how to slave the mpc but i want it to be master to logic cuz i wanna be able to set the tempo of logic thru the mpc using the tempo button.

2..does anyone know how to set logic as a sound module to logic 8. ive seen videos on youtube and have follwed procedure but soon as i set the first track in logic it shuts down. Now do i have to upgrade to the most recent jj os possibly makin it easier to sync or is it other alternatives outside of the manual that i dont know about?

1. How to slave Logic Pro 8 to an MPC.

You will find that Logic Pro 8 will not receive Midi clock, unlike Logic Pro 7 which did/ does.

Therefore you can only use Logic in slave mode if you plan on sending MIDI TIMECODE from your MPC.
