I have the 500. Sometimes the timestretch works well, depending on the type of sample. If its a standard bass sound or synth key, I have no problems stretching the sound and making it still sound decent.
Other times, especially on more involved samples the timestretch just mangles the sample to unusable quality. Rips it up like a wolf on a rabbit.
Messing around with the different settings for timestretch on the 500 is annoying as hell, I was wondering if this function works any differently/easier on the better MPC models.. espeially the 2500???
I'm noticing the 500's limitations, but I'm getting ninja at working around them- except this one. Any tips on the different settings? (ie: does the MusicA work better than MusicC or VocalA ..etc..)
Or is there a reference guide somewhere as to actually how/what the different timestrecth settings do to affect the samples you feed in to it?
thanks
