Chapter 5—Using multis and parts
pg. 48
This chapter explains how to use “parts” which are the way you play the
programs of the sampler section, and “multis” which let you manage multiple parts together.
If you asked me for the benefits of Cool Edit, I would say "chop up your sounds and add effects to them" I wouldn't exactly give you the manual for the whole thing.
I'm currently not asking for specific instructions on how to carry out these things. Rather know what they do before re-reading pages of instructions on how to carry them out.
It tells me how to create and edit Multis, Parts and Programs. But doesn't say what their benefits are and what they actually do, production wise.
So far I know that a Program is a set of sounds and their Parameters, but where do these sounds come from? Synths? or are they just Samples I've created and added Parameters to them via Q-Link?
