In search for the MPC2000xl LCD cure!

As a long time SP1200 user, I had never given the MPC a second look until my wife's gift of an MPC2000xl garage sale find.
problem! LCD screen lines, the unit works but alas, a search for the cure began.
the LCD as some of you may already know by now is hard to find item. mpc stuff is MIA on stock and their vendor VST is lost in the sauce. AKAI pro barely has miscellaneous parts left in stock and they are not talking as far as finding the cure. the units on line are not compatible, the closest unit is a 240x64 and this is not compatible. FORAT in california wont even touch the MPC2000xl or the 2000 as screen supplies are dry. the question of the day is " who has had success in finding a suitable replacement" LET THE BROVAS KNOW!

you might wanna get at user on this forum sonseelye. I think he might be able to point you in the right direction.
