Also depends on ur workflow and what kind of features u want.
The 3000 is bombproof. Stood the test of time and give that nice warm late 90's hiphop R&B sound.

5000 is more up to date, more editing features and allows u to have a quiker workflow with chopping and stuff. But it's more up to date, more ram, better storage facilities, integrated synth etc. (I'd suggest to do a search on the specs)

Only if u want THAT sound despite the fact u have to mangle around with floppy's and zipdisk I'd suggest the 5000

quik swears by the 3000 yet he's used it since it came out in 94

the 5000 expands on the mpc beatmaking/drums adds a synth and gives you 8 audio tracks to record/mixdown vocals,, like from beats to vocals to mixing the song in the box.

your decision should be based on your budget and on your intended goals/ what part you want your mpc to play in your music making.

you can demo a 5000 at a music store, you most likely gotta know somebody that has a 3000 to try it yourself

Good luck

Strictlyloungin619 wrote:well from other user reviews, they said the 5000 have some bugs and sometimes freezes.

So does the 4k and 2k and 2kxl and 1k and 2500 and 500.

That's why research has to be done to figure out which bugs you are willing to put up with, maybe, if you at all you run into them.

NO ONE can just SUGGEST an mpc. The buyer should read up on all the good/bad quirks of each mpc to figure out which he/she/swaggot is willing to deal with.

if your intent on ordering check out their 5 ez payments plan, it allows you to use your own check card if you want like a credit card/ financed over 5 monthly payments

or try a local guitar center if near you, offer the sales guy 100 dollars less than what the price tag says

you might not get the full 100 off but you will most likely save some $$ off just by asking for it

Yep, good stuff can be made with all the mpc's but wprkspace (RAM)
and storage (floppy, cf, zip, scsi) play a key role in your intended workflow as well.

These can GREATLY influence your decision.
