I have a few questions but I didnt want to make separate threads. Answer one or all I appreciate any help I can get.
I am new with a 2000XL and I just started by loading some drums from my flash drive and doing some sampling and messing around with sequences and I always save the programs/sounds/sequences/songs to my flash disk.
But I noticed that it leaves all of the things I loaded in on the MPC when I take the Zip Disk out and it told me that it was running out of space a little while later while I was sampling something new.
Question 1: What is the best way to go about managing this space? Is there a way to clear ALL sounds/programs/sequences etc off of the onboard memory and just have it autoload my stuff I saved on the disk when I start it up? (it already autoloads but I guess Im wondering what you do with everything that it leaves on the onboard memory without manually deleting every single thing.
Question 2: How do I copy an entire sequence to another? I figured out how to copy a track to the next sequence but couldnt figure out how to do an entire sequence.
Question 3: If I change a track from 2 to 4 bars, how can I copy a track to play for the second 2 bars as well?
Question 4: When naming something, which button erases text?
Question 5: How do I get a sample to repeat as I hold down on a pad (and I assume I would have to set a bpm?
Question 6: Can somone explain to me what the DRUM1, DRUM2, DRUM3, DRUM 4 means? I thought if you select a different one it will have its own bank of sounds on the pads but the samples were all the same.
Question 7: Is it possible to update the 2000XL with a flash drive to avoid Zip altogether? If I installed this flash drive reader, would it behave just like the zip? What do these cost?
Thanks for any tips or help!
