Shoud i buy this? :) is it worth the buck (I don't want a 300 dollar craigslist comp btw, im looking to spend around this much on a pc, so is this worth the money?)

if you cant build that on your own... pay them 700 dollars to build that for you. that is a choice only up to you.

i don't know anything about this particular machine. but i'm always suspicious of computers that market themsleves as a specific audio machine.

if you're just after a computer for music, this is what i'd get - (a mac g4 tower for a couple of hundred bucks) and put logic xpress 7 or 8 on it.

i'd then buy a mid-range laptop for my computing needs.

should i get 32 bit vista or 64??

honestly for vista I would go for 32 bit if it is for music because not every company has made their things perfectly compatible for 64 bit however most have but everything works on 32 bit vista except the akai mpd 16.

again probably 32 bit would be your safest option... I would definitely go with that over windows xp of any kind if you are installing it on a modern system.

although, maybe next year or the year after they will sort it out. After all the software companies need to adapt to the OS if they want their stuff to run. When windows 8 comes out I wouldn't be surprised if there no 32 bit version.
