Once again, I'm new, and
I don't know where I stand in terms of the JJ OS upgrade. JJ Does this 256 MB Compact Flash card [came w/ purchase]have anything to do w/ getting the OS upgradeWHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN.[u]I want to be able to chop sliced samples,the easiest way possible. Can I do it with what I have now, or should I upgrade?? HELP!!!

You should read the manual.
Nobody can tell you what is right for you or what is the best way to chop samples as it is completely subjective.
Having said that... have you tried fruity loops?
