Troubles with the firewire interface

it seems that, if my computer stays on to the point where its screensaver and then i have to select profile to log back in, my sound STOPS working. i tried turning the firewire off then turning it on again while the computer was on and it started working. am i gonna have to keep doing this? thats bullshit if so and i'm gonna try to return it

is it a windows computer? if so, go into the settings for the screen saver and stop it from locking the computer when ever the screen saver stops.

remove the screensaver then..

Well it turns out I don't have a screensaver. My comp just go to standby mode after awhile and the connection gets dropped from my firewire interface. this is completely bullshit! there must be something i can do to fix this problem???? anyone know? please dont say check the website, because i am and their suggestions arent working

Rightclick on Dashboard-Properties-Screensaver-Power......-Set powerschemes to always on(when using DAW) then set settings for Always Power On Schemes to never.

i have the same product hooked up to my mac and the same thing happens to me man.

but it actually is no big deal. all i have to do is open up the mixer that the profire610 comes with and all sound is restored.

simple as that, takes 2seconds.
