Hi every 1,

Im lox, iv been producing music for about 12 years now, started out with simple programs and i am currently using
fl studio 8. Iv been on youtube for the last year checking out the various hiphopers using the mpc and i have to say i fell in love. So now iv got my hands on a mpc500 using last minute snpier bidding on ebay.

Havnt had much time to get with it yet but what i have im liking. Messed around with the pre made songs abit to get the hang of the buttons etc etc. Then i tried loading just a few of my many samples collected over the years. Just dropped in a few kicks and snares. What i found though is that i can see the files but when i try to assign to a pad and press do it i get the message invalid file??? Only 1 snare plays out of 27 and no kicks at all.

Id appreciate all input as this is all alien to me

Thanks

wav samples must be 16bit and 44kHz or the MPC won't play them

FL might be able to do it, if not then use a wave editor such as soundforge or audacity to convert them to 16bit 44kHz format
