How to work with a Synthesizer and MPC500 ????

Hey there, yesterday i bought a new Synthesizer to work with my mpc500. I want to record sounds which i play on my synthesizer with the mpc.
I've tried it with the RECORD mode worked but i did not know how to save my samples & how to get back working normaly with the mpc.
My problem was that i could not play the pads anymore so i had to reset the mpc totally.

Can someone please tell me how i correctly work with synthesizer an MPC500 together?

When you record your synth in record mode. When youre done recording it should ask you which pa you want to assign it to. Remember which pad it is then check the sample name in "program mode". Save them in save mode.

Or youre problem could be that you just arent going back to sequence mode. Just hit the sequence button and it will take you back to the main screen.

If that doesnt work go smoke a sherm and go shoe shopping

two options, both good.

a/ sample sounds from the synth into the mpc, assign to pads and play.

b/ use midi. first connect mpc midi out to synth midi in. connect synth midi out to mpc midi in. turn midi from 'off' to 'A1' or 'B1'. when you hit a pad it will play a note on the synth.
hit record, play your synth (or pads). edit your midi notes as you like. viola.
