I just got one, but what im not understanding is why you can just use the floppydrive that comes with it to load drums sounds. People keep telling me that i have to buy a zip drive. I have a library of various sounds, cant i just buy a floppy and load those sounds in it?

To my knowledge you can hook up a compactflash reader in there too. But people recommend zips over floppies because floppies are scarce and a bit slower.

Just use what you feel comfy with and ignore the hype.

yeah and I think zips are rarer then floppies... cause zips were never the standard on real computers like floppies were for over a decade.

if you run into a scsi zip drive on the cheap pick it up, I suggest checking out old computer junk stores... you should run into one for next to nothing.
