you know that sequence1 >sequence 2 thing on the 500? wtf is

when you have 2 sequences goin on the 500 you can play the first one and cursor over to the second one and it will show a >symbol on the 500

it will play your full first sequence then show the > symbol meaning it willl start playing the second one after the one it is currently playing finishes.

i was messing around with my 1k (which i have to take back...smh) and i made 2 sequences and wanted to do that with it to make a little scratch beat, but when i would switch to the next sequence it would switch right away and not let the first sequence play out all the way.

what gives? does the 1k have a setting i am overlooking for this?

and for the record it was using jjos 3.09 (thats the free one i think)

I think you want the NEXT SQ function, which is only in the paid versions of JJOS
