A little help with MIDI

Hi, I'm a beginner with midi, I just got a midi keyboard and a JV 1010 module.
I have a few questions about it.

When I record a midi sequence in the mpc, and then record another midi sequence, the first sequence recorded sometimes becomes a lot louder. I know I can fix it with the velocity parameter, but I was wondering if this was normal?

The main problem I have though is to track out my midi sequences. I don't use a computer to track out, but a multitrack recorder(Boss BR 600) which doesn't have midi connections. Is there a way that I can export my midi tracks from the MPC to the recorder or is it impossible?

Yes, it's impossible for you to work out the scenario you just discribed.

If you want to record midi & the main recorder doesn't support this, but you still want to try and figure a way to pull this off is what I'm reading...right?

No midi connections means the device doesn't offer this feature. Midi is not the same as audio which is a common statement made around here, and being able to work this out would fair much better by using a computer/daw.

All you can do in your situation is record the audio coming from the mpc, jv1010, and whatever else into the boss recorder. Try one of the free daws out here like audacity and go beyond the limitations of that current setup you're working with.

On a side note here...I think Nym has a quote in his sig singing to the tune of "I can hear the midi".

Ok thanks. That's what I'm doing for the moment, recording the MPC with the boss and then resampling with the MPC...
I don't have a computer near my setup so I can't use it but I'm seriously thinking of reselling the boss to buy me a computer!

Not only will you need the computer, you'll need the daw s/w to run on it as well as a decent pro sound card with midi I/O capabilities.

That's why I suggested trying that free daw program to get your feet wet with this stuff before going overboard when you catch on.

Yes, that's not a problem I know Reaper a little bit, and know that I need an audio interface. Thanks for your help.
